The Sierra College women’s basketball team will hold camps beginning in July for both beginning and advanced players.
The beginning skill development camp, for players ages 6 to 11 will be held July 7-10. The advanced skill development camp for players ages 11 to 15 runs from July 14-17. Cost for beginners is $185 and advanced is $199.
The Wolverine coaching staff as well as current and former players will be on hand to assist with individual and group instruction. The camp will cover proper fundamentals and techniques as well as training videos.

49er Youth Soccer League taking signups
The 49er Youth Soccer League is currently taking signups for their U16 and U19 Girls and Boys teams for the upcoming season.
Player registration fees include a full uniform package with jersey(s), shorts and socks, basic picture package including team photo and team entry fee for District Cup.

Ladies golf club seeks members
The Ridge’s Ladies Golf Club in Auburn is accepting applications for new members at a reduced price. From July 1 through Dec. 31, cost to join the league is $70, which includes membership in the Northern California Golf Association.
The club plays on Thursdays beginning at 8 a.m. and convenes for lunch following the round. The club promotes friendly, competitive golf under the rules of the USGA.

Junior Hillmen registration still open
Registration is still available for the Placer Junior Hillmen youth football and cheer program. The programs are open to kids age 6-14 and registration forms are available at www.placerjrhillmen.com. Registration forms can be mailed to: 471 Maidu Dr., Suite 102, Auburn, CA 95603.
The Junior Hillmen will hold a football camp on July 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 and July 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 at Placer High.

Thursday night cross country sessions underway
The Placer High cross country program is hosting open runs each Thursday evening throughout the summer. The runs are free and open to junior high, high school and college runners.
Runners are encouraged to meet in the parking lot above Placer High’s Le Febvre Stadium at 6 p.m. Runners will be broken up into three groups and each week will feature a different trail in the American River Canyon.

British Soccer Camp coming to Meadow Vista
There is still time to sign up for the British Soccer Camp, to be held at Meadow Vista Park from July 7-11. Morning and evening sessions are available for players ages 3 to 15.

Reserved seats available for Del Oro football
The Del Oro Boosters are introducing a reserved seating program for the 2008 football season.
The cost is $150, which includes one ergonomically designed seat and admission to all home games, excluding the playoffs. Applications will be accepted starting Feb. 4.
