Ryan Studebaker

Placer High senior Ryan Studebaker signed a national letter of intent last week accepting a swimming scholarship from Cal. After taking sixth at the 2008 Sac-Joaquin Section Championships as a sophomore, Studebaker won the 100-meter breaststroke in 2009 and was one the most sought-after swimmers on the West Coast. He received scholarship offers from several Division I schools. The Bears were his top choice all along. In his final season with the Hillmen this spring, Studebaker has his sights set on breaking the section record of 55.75 seconds in the 100 breaststroke.

Awesome job Ryan! My son Brenden speaks highly of you. Good job and good luck this season. Being selected by Div. I schools as an athlete is a monumental accomplishment. All of that hard work and practice, plus excellent grades, have paid off for you. Congratulations to you and your family.
