Aurora Ghost Town, Nevada

A fun trip to Aurora Ghost Town in Nevada on Nov.17,2009. Aurora circa 1860 to 1916. About a 5+ hour drive from Auburn, It's said that this town took out $30 million in gold at the prices then. It is said to have had a population of 5000 to 10,000 during it's hay day. It once had a large down town with many large brick buildings which were all destroyed by the 1960's by vandels. Their is a very neat cemetery with many graves dated in the 1870's. Remains of a 10 stamp mill and a few other buildings still around. You can find lots more info if you google Aurora Ghost Town , Nevada.
