Section releases football playoff brackets
There was good news at Granite Bay and Woodcreek when the Sac-Joaquin Section released its playoff brackets late Saturday afternoon.
The new playoff structure, introduced for this season, expands the fields and divides divisional alignment for postseason play based on school enrollment. The section clearly recognized the quality of both the Sierra Foothill League and of the non-league schedules its teams’ play,
Despite is 4-6 record, Woodcreek, who earned a spot in the Division II tourney with a third place finish in league play, escaped the bottom three seeding positions and avoided a trip to unbeaten powerhouses St. Mary’s and Grant. While the Timberwolves escaped with a No. 13 seed, that still means a trip to Folsom, an offensive juggernaut with a 9-1 mark.
The winner of the first round game between Folsom and Woodcreek will play the survivor of the opener being played Friday night at Granite Bay. The Grizzlies (8-2) were awarded a No. 5 seed, and will host Sacramento (6-4) in the opening round.
In other first round games in the Division II field Friday night, second-seeded SFL champion Rocklin will host No. 15 Elk Grove (4-6) and No. 8 Del Oro will host No. 9 Christian Brothers. A Del Oro win would likely result in an outstanding second round matchup between the Golden Eagles and top-seeded St. Mary’s (1-0).
Unbeaten Grant is the No. 3 seed in Division II.
Oak Ridge (7-3) is the sixth seed in the Division I field, and the Trojans will host No. 11 Sheldon Friday night.
Lincoln (10-0) is the No. 1 seed in the eight-team Division IVA field. The Zebras host Livingston (6-4) in their opener. Whitney (7-3) is the No. 5 seed in that tourney, with a road game at fourth-seeded Sonora (8-2) standing between it and a possible second shot at Lincoln in round two.
Third-seeded Placer (9-1) hosts No. 6 Foothill (7-3) in its opener.
Colfax (6-4) drew the No. 8 seed in Division IVB and will make the trip to Modesto Christian (10-0) for its first postseason contest.

Good luck PVL and SFL teams as you go into the 'Offs'.
GOOOOOOO CATS!
Good luck and health throughout the playoffs to all our local foothill teams !! (Placer, Del Oro, Colfax, Nevada Union, Rocklin, Whitney, Granite Bay). May the better team (on that night) win...........
You forgot Lincoln Fred...thats ok, we know it was a slight over site. Good luck and good health Lincoln, may you still be the better team and win(on any night). Good luck to all SFL/PVL teams in the playoffs Its gonna be fun.
Mojo Fo Lyfe
Hey fred, LIncoln is a local team, still upset about the loss?
farnorcalzeb,
Not at all, great game by Lincoln & congrats on the #1 seed. I do not really consider Lincoln to be in the local foothills is all......
How are Rocklin, Whitney and Granite Bay considered local foothills?
Jeepers creepers people.......Good luck to ALL teams.
Anyone else upset about my "local foothill teams"? or my exclusion of?
I didn't realize we had so many geography professors out there.
That was my question as well nate, but I left it alone. Maybe he was thinking of the elevated golf greens that litter those areas.
Fred: Lincoln fans are tired of being excluded...
Lincoln fans: Any chance of toning down the obvious hate in your posts? You want respect- GIVE SOME!
well nice to hear lincoln won pvl and is undefeated i just hope that a lot of the rumors about star players being ineligble to play in the playoffs ruins the outcome of a section championship
@fredthehillman- nothing you say or do will please the Lincoln fans. So don't bother. They're our backyard neighbor, but the way they're developing, pretty soon they'll be right up your backside as well.
@farnorcalzeb- whats up with you? you get on the placer/whit game article and spew your hate and now you come here. you're not making friends and remember the Hillmen will continue in the PVL with you and there's playoffs a comin'. You went on and on and on about just wanting me to say that Linc is the better team THIS YEAR. I made the mistake of sayin' that in the other post. I wish I hadn't. You have the title, but that's it. You complain about us taking 'imports'. Well Whit has been around only 4 years. What you been doing before Whit, or Rocklin or GB, or even DO were established? Hope you don't end up bein' a 1-hit wonder, cuz Whit's outta your league, but you still have to contend with the Hillmen and everyone else you been dissin' this year with your hate.
@nate- why didn't you include DO in your question? Huh?
@thepuls- you've got it right, but unfortunately Linc will continue to be excluded the way they treat everyone.
ayala- as usual your hate show too. would you care to elaborate? or are you telling us Lincoln's players are ineligible?
nope misunderstanding bout that.little birds facts were wrong
ayala- huh. well misunderstanding or not. your comment that you HOPE IT RUINS someone's chances is par for the course on how Linc fans have been behaving. Sorry to say, but wishing the demise of any team like that is just a piece of work.
BTW Zebs- Wish you well in the playoffs....
GOOOOOO CATS!
fredthehillman- Thank you for the props and well wishing, for the local teams as you mentioned (Placer, Del Oro, Colfax, Nevada Union, Rocklin, Whitney, Granite Bay). It's been a great 4 years in the PVL, playing against elite teams that have quite a history of section playoff titles. It's Whit's last year in the PVL, but we still continue close ties with our neighbors, as we will be playing our big brother, Rocklin, next year in week 2. It'd be great to have the same opportunity that Placer's Frosh team got to play NU, and who better to play, to make us better, than to play one of the best, as they are now going into the SFL as well.
Keyon, as with most of your posts BLAH BLAH BLAH, uhh I have not dissed anyone except Placer and ultra snobby Whitney, 2 teams who just cant accept they lost and post garbage about Lincoln's "unsportmanship" and the like. No other teams/fans have, gee why is that? Lincoln will be excluded from who? Whitney? Placer? PLZZZZZZZZZZZ brotha, tell me you didnt say that.. People from other working class communities Like Cofax and Mesa or whoever is in oyur new league will come to despise Whitney simply for your arrogance. Oak Ridge suffered the same fate when they were in our league awhile back, they were uniformally hated by all others based on the same type of gross arrogance they displayed regularly. You've gotta program, no mistake their, but dont think losing is beneath you and when you do, ACCEPT THE LOSS instead of saying "Well Lincoln would have never beat lasts years Whitney team", as many Whitney fans did cuz thats just pure lame!
As for thepuls, the feeling is mutual, sInce when has whitney given Lincoln any respect? They act as if the championship this year belongs to them and only them based on last years team, heck all you gotta do is read the threads whitney fans have posted in the past. And you talk about giving respect? I dont begrudge Placer, they have a good team, but again, I think they thought they were just gonna blow Lincoln out and when they lost, didnt respond well to it, much like, ohh whats that team., oh yeah whitney.
I just can't accept that 4-6 teams get into playoffs. What's the point? No under.500 record should be going anywhere at the end.
And, how is Woodcreek a "third" place team if Rocklin was the clear winner with no defeats, and Granite Bay and Del Oro share 2nd place? That puts Woodcreek at FOURTH, not third.
I love H.S. football and have for 50 years, but these playoffs have become ridiclous. A ten game regular season is long enough, but to extend deep into December, well into the beginning of basketball season, and beyond long enough to jeapodize the health of young athletes is a recipe for disaster. 12-13-14 game seasons for still-maturing bodies is dangerous and has ended too may high school athlete's careers. At most the top two teams from a division or league should have a shot at a "bigger crown", but the whole playoff should end no more than two weeks beyond the regular season. Add those "bowl" games and you vitually eliminate football players from playing basketball, too. Sometimes, enough is just too much.
My mistake. Woodcreek was in a three way tie for "second" with Granite Bay and Del Oro. And, since they miraculously beat the stargazing Del oro they have the right to claim "superior position" in the league. But, at 0-5 off their own field I wonder if even that is very substantive, and a total of 40 points in margin in their less-than-stellar 4 wins isn't the kind of showing a "playoff" team normally advances with.
So, while I was wrong about the overall record, I stand by my opinion that the playoffs include far too many teams and go on far too long. Maybe only the actual league champs should be going anywhere. Part of the problem is the leagues are much too small. A minimum of 8 teams/league with a 2 game "prep" season would be better and eliminate the need for multi-league playoffs with .500 or under.500 teams. But that wouldn't be in keeping with the PC theory of having lots and lots of winners.
Let's hope teams like Rocklin and Lincoln get the playoff matchup they deserve and a shot to win their respective division titles (and not suffer a fluke loss to a weaker team along the way). Undefeated should mean something....not having to play .500 teams and risk injury to their players just to get to the finals.
But who knows....maybe Woodcreek will win it all. And pigs will fly.
Farnorcalzeb you are wasting your breath and your time. When it comes to Whitney fans they are all the same, arrogant, arrogant, arrogant. I think it is funny that they believe the only team with a problem with them is Lincoln. Trust me there is not one team in the PVL that likes them or their head coach. Just be pleased that they are leaving the PVL and good riddance with their team their kids and more improtantly their fans.
farns and misty- Good luck in the playoffs.
ps- you two should get married, it would be a match made in heaven...lol
GOOOOOO CATS!
MM,
For seaveral years there were only two teams considered in the cportsfootball circles that had a chance in the PVL, Colfax and DR. The PVL was considerd very weak. Whitney and it's ptrogram brought legitamcy to the league. Colfax wanted us to stay bc we bring competion.
Placer is now under a new role. Be happy Whitney will be gone so you will have a chance to win some more but it will take another 40 years just like this time.
Stinkin Lincoln says it all. I could have moved there, chose not to, great chioce!
1) Woodcreek beat Del Campo in the preseason so they came into the SFL at 1-4.
2) I have heard about Mr. Stanley and his grades. I believe the trimester ended on the 6th. I know some teachers, including the one that told me, have not turned in grades yet but have to this week. So if it is true then when is the cutoff for football grade reports, before or after the first playoff game? That is when we find out what the little bird was made of, and if he is off to his third school when he enrolls at Victory.
3) It is a team game. Lincoln may have enough without a player or two, Whitney did, right?
4) The section set the guidelines for qualification. Which one is better, Woodcreek with a very tough schedule but a 4-6 record or Oakmont with a laugher of a schedule and a 5-5 record? I'll take Woodcreek.
It's a new season for all, anyone who knows sports, knows this when all games count. On any given day a team not expected to win, could pull the upset. This is when coaching and heart come into play. It's great that we have so many teams moving on to the play-offs. I would like to give a special shout to Whitney and DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was Deja_View all over again when I read that Mr. View had his facts wrong. After reading all your dribble you are right about one thing you said..."Sometimes, enough is just too much".....do us all a big favor and watch Girl's water polo for your next 50 years!
I'm a proud and excited Zebra mom and a die hard Zebra fan - every team has their fans and that's the way it should be. I'm always so shocked when I read these comments. It seems that somewhere along the way it's gone forgotten that this is High School Football we're talking about. No matter who says what or who disses who - these BOYS (all of them - from every team), have played well. Good job fellas!
An open letter to the Del Oro varsity football coaches:
You have had a good season that was almost a great season. Congratulations! However; you have two probable Division I scholarship receivers on your team who have only a combined 63 catches in the ten game season. In fact, your overall stats show 96 passing attempts vs. 365 rushes for the season. This is a gross disparity and an imbalance that can be (and was) exploited by opponents. Against inferior opponents you can mostly do whatever you want, they don't have the horses to stop you. The better teams will take measures to limit the running game and have the horses to do it. Your playoff opponents will be in the latter category. I suggest that you formulate your game plans accordingly and make sure that your two most outstanding receivers figure prominently in them. In particular, I would single up the tight end on a linebacker often. Most high school linebackers are not good at pass coverage and your tight end has the size and speed to do major damage in the open field. Split him out 4-5 yards as the SD Chargers used to do with Kellen Winlsow. Run him underneath on a delay pattern while your wideout runs a crossing pattern (linebackers nightmare!).Your wide recever has a 6-7 inch height advantage over the defense. He's the guy to run a fade pattern when you're throwing in the red zone.
Rocklin is getting screwed big time by the SJS Playoff Committee. The Committee seeded Rocklin ahead of Grant because of their stronger competition this year and rightfully so. In a Playoff matchup, the rule has always been that the team with the higher seed is the host team and the game is played on the host football team's field. Why is Grant getting a biased break by the Committee and taking the home fileld advantage away from Rocklin if they should meet in the third round of the jplayoff. This is unfair and outrageously discriminatory against Rocklin and the #3 seeds in DIV I, IIII and IV. #3 seed NU and #2 seed Vacaville could meet iin the 3rd round of the Div I playoffs. The SFS is not giving the same bread to NU as they are Grant in Div II, The committee did their seeding and then totallly ignored what the had done in order to give Grant a leg up by making any matchup between Rocklin and Grant played on a neutral field. The Principal, Ahtletic Director and the Football Staff at Rocklin should be limmediately lodging a bias complaint with the SJS and get that Playoff Committee's discriminatory decision turned around. The SJS Playoff Committee Members and Pete Saco should be ashamed of themselves. What say you folks out there who desire a level playing field during the playoffs.
@Zebmom- Right on! I'm a Whit fan through and through. I get caught up in the nasty comments and feel I need to fling back a few. Mucho respect to you. Good luck in the offs.
@sfl rocks- As Henry Gibson would say....'Verrrrrrrry interesting.' I would say, if a player is ineligible, why try to play him and cost the game for the rest of the boys. Because if it has hit the radar, you know it will be looked into. Whit has been playin' with injuries all season. Losing key players and bringin' in back-ups that have really stepped up to the plate...even brought up back-ups to back-ups..LOL..can't bet the farm on one player to the detriment of the rest. BTW WCreek has been labeled the 'Giant Killer'. No one shoud overlook their team or underestimate Mr. Nunley.
GOOOOOO CATS!
1) He is not ineligible yet, and I doubt Lincoln would ever use him if he does become ineligible. No one knows the whole story, there are just a lot of rumblings. Mine just happen to come from a teacher.
2) Who is to say that Rocklin was not aware of the neutral field before they announced the brackets? That field is half sand now, when the golf cart runs across the field it looks like it is four wheeling in Moab, and it will only get worse. If I was Rocklin and it looked like that third game was going to be at my place, I would want to find a neutral, turf field instead of having to give up home field to Grant because no one was prepared for that possibility.
3) Some great matchups down the road. Everyone take care of business this week.
No one want to give up their home field advantage, which typically is worth 7 pts to a good team. What the SJS is doing by mvoing that possibled game to a neutral field is give Grant 7 pts going into the game. Playing your game in familiar surroundings is a big thing in high school football, always has been always will be, regardless of the condition of the playing surface. Yes, the SJS Playoff Committee has dealt Rocling a bad hand on this one and did a huge favor to the Grant Pacers. Lets reverse the rolls and say that Grant was seeded #2 and Rocklin #3. Do you think that the SJS Playoff Committee would have even considered moving the game from Grant to a neutral field? Like no way in hell would they even think to do so and no way would the Grant Coach allow it. He would be screaming for all to hear that his Pacers were being had and being discriminated against. The biased decision the Committee made reeks to high heavan and should be changed to make the playing field level for Rocklin and Grant. Neither Grant nor Roklin were a part of the decision, so the blame lies totally with the Playoff Committee, which must be made up of a lot of knuckleheads not to realize their biased action. .
Correction to my previous comment: Del Oro pass play to rush ratio was 142:365, not 96:365 (still quite unbalanced, however).
Hey, JohnnyRot;
You did a nice job of insulting my opinion....but did nothing to support yours (IF YOU HAVE ONE).
FWIW: I didn't mean to demean anything Woodcreek has done in its efforts this season, but 6 losses is still 6 LOSSES. I'd certainly give the edge over Oakmont in a head's up game....but they still lost 6 games. In fact, losing ALL away games, then beating what were considered some better teams on their own field..and with the comments written about the circumstances of some of those wins...it makes their invitation to the playoffs a little less appropriate. Nothing against Woodcreek, but stats, scores, and eyewitnesses usually tell a pretty accurate story.
I still maintain there are too many levels of playoff games...especially at a high school level. This isn't baseball or track meets. It's tremendous physical punishment on young, growing bodies. Worse, it takes football players deep into the most primary reason they are in school...the academic semester. Spending an entire semester on a field or in a gym isn't what high school is supposed to be about.
So, JR, if you have a GOOD reason for these kids to spend 14-18 weeks traveling and grinding and bashing their bodies, while trying to keep up with academic demands, let us know. I think the ones with the torn ACL's, separated shoulders, and concussions might say those last two or three games weren't worth it in later years.
Vanoosbree;
Good observation, and you are correct. Our 1966 (65) D.O. team had a 6' 6" tight end who had good speed, tremendous strength at about 220 lbs, and good hands. He seldom was used in passing situations. He was absolutely wasted as an offensive weapon, but back then no one passed as much as today. He still holds Del Oro's shot put record and was the first to go to the CA state track finals, and played for the championship basketball team. Obviously, he had the talent to make a bigger contribution and give the team an edge no one else had at the time. Coaches today should recognize and use ALL of those tools.
In the meatime, after D.O,'s staggering loss to Woodcreek, every D.O. fan will be biting his/her nails wondering if the season might end too soon for how good the team has shown it really can be.
D.O., Lincoln, Rocklin, Placer...all have their work cut out but can make the valley even more proud.
I am almost certain that Casey Taylor is scanning these blogs for some tips on how to run his offense!! Maybe you could go out to practice and give him some pointers!! While you are at it, give Belichick a call!! :-)
Voice;
LOL. Del Oro has had a great season...better than most people thought after last year. But some of those painful games last year, and the losses to Granite Bay that could have been won, show that even successful coaches can get lost in the game and make questionable playmaking choices. Of course, hindsight is always so much easier. From what I've seen, though, at the HS level I'd make any big, talented receiver a major part of my offense (with a line that can protect and a QB that can hit them). Most HS secondaries don't have the size or the leapers to stop a bigger tight end or wide receiver if he is athletic. All of these playoff teams have good running backs and very good offensive lines, but that next level requires a bigger weapon and Del Oro has that for sure.
If they can just keep the striped shirts from controlling the game. :(
CTaylor and staff have elevated that program well above where it had been before. What is enough for you people?
Maybe if you know sooo much about it you should ask to join his staff instead of hiding behind a key board?
Maybe Rocklin just has that good of a team this year?
Beat GB last season? Grant struggled with that, come on....
Dear Lone(r)star: Wise people accept comments and criticism in the spirit in which it is offered. Comments like "you should ask to join the staff" if you critique anything are the "so's your old man" school of retort used by 6 year olds. Tomorrow when you show up for kindergarten, stand in the corner for 5 minutes as punishment.
OHHHHH LONELYSTAR .... Didn't we tell you you could not speak to adults if you didn't have a point or anything nice to say??? Shame Shame no go back under Twelve Bridges bridge and stay there till you have something relevant to say.
Mojo Fo Lyfe
V,
Sounds to me like you don't have the B's to tell T to his face?
Where I come from they call that a coward!
Now back on your tractor and back to Loomis...
I wonder what TeddyMac has to say about all this?
That's so dang funny, Lonerstar telling somebody they have no balls to face somebody when he's been trashing me on here and Sacbee with lies, lies and more dang lies and seems to be so dialed into Del Oro, yet can't confront me face to face. Oh yeah Lonerstar read the name buddy, it's teddymac not Van smack, LOL. VoiceOfReason I love how Lonerstar attacks anybody with an opinion that doesn't suit his. It's like Vansmack says, when someone doesn't agree with lonerstar, he cries like a little baby and tries to make him feel better about his pathetic self by stooping to name-calling. Just like a 6 yr old as Van smack says. I've come to the conclusion that it's a waste of my time to respond to some idiot that hides behind a computer like Lonerstar himself stated, LOL. Coda should I go get some food for the homeless man under the Twelve Bridges, LMAO!!!
Hmmm- If I read Tex's comment, I do believe he gave CT a compliment AND he was defending him from criticism. But hey, if CT is cool with advice on how to run his football team, who is Tex to defend him?
BTW Mojo- you are a piece of work. You know that 12 Bridges is in Lincoln. I do believe that Tex has indicated that he has chosen NOT to live in your beloved sitay. So maybe YOU should go be a troll and crawl under that bridge yourself and do your "Power of the M-O-J-O"...
..LOL.....I said it b4- I have a soft spot for the Texas pitbull...LOL :))
Geez, I didn't know making suggestions on a sports forum about what may or may not help a team win was somehow insulting the coaches. I spent my years in the trenches so I think I can state my opinion with confidence, but that doesn't mean I'm saying the coach(es) is a dunderhead. Some things are just too obvious to deny. Too many high school coaches rely heavily on the athleticism of their players rather than expanding the overall potential of the team's offensive and defensive game. Obviously, it depends on the ability of the players in the key positions, but kids these days are very capable of learning new schemes and skills very quickly. The biggest detriment to stretching the playmaking is the fear of making mistakes or losing.
Woody Hayes was a great coach for his day of smash mouth, run-every-down football but he couldn't change with the rapid advancement of great passing games. It happens to the best of them if they think their way is the only way. The days of always doing "what got us here" are over when it gets to the playoffs. The opposition by then knows exactly how to counter what becomes too routine. It will be interesting to see what Coach Taylor and the others in the area do if their best weapons aren't working (and we know they don't always work).
Tmac,
I see nowhere inmy post where I refer to you? iIthink you miss me. I had to leave the state for 10 days on business. To busy to play romper room game's with you. FYI, I have not lied bout anything Bundy. Everything reported to me came from your camp?
D,
You have some good points but if you really want the coach to know your point just send him an e-mail? You don't need to sneak it in a blog? BTW most folks aren't at practice everyday doing what coaches do. They show up game day, and three plays later, after much thought decide what the coach did wrong.
this coach has done more for DO football than anyone so far. look at his accomplishments, seems it's not enough for some. No state title or I'm taking my ball and going home! best of luck to the Golden Eagles...
Thx, Key, please explain Tex to your freind... he no get it?
Tex- He gets it...You know he's just funnin' you...and he knew you were lurking somewhere in the ether space and that would bring you out...sort of like oly-oly-oxen-free...Hah!
Key,
I wasn't lurkin, I was back east on business then down to Flordia for training. I know Ted Bundy is harmless, gets under my skin from time to time, like hasslin the ref. Then acts like it didn't happen, That is classless. It just doesn't happen. It did happen and he lies about it. Other than his big mouth I really don't care and I am sure he is a cool dude. How bout this, Tmac if you get Coda to agree can I come out from under the bridge??
I am curious, and not being a "wise a$$", but what advice, if any, would you give Coach Al from Grant? His team has rushed for over 3000 yards (2100 by Butler), and passed for just under 1000. Also, I believe they run the 3-5 defense nearly 100% of the time. What changes/additions will be needed if they face a really good team? Or, do they have enough talent to do what they do and get away with it?
Hey Lonestar: Fish On!!
Lonerstar, there you go again accusing me of lying. What a piece of work you are! Didn't I come forward and tell you what happened with the ref and the comment I made before you even knew who the person was??? Now that really sounds like somebody trying to hide something or lie about something. I forget you were there along with your Del Oro folks so you know exactly what happened genius! I am the one with the big mouth? Your so right lonestar you know me so well. Didn't your momma teach you not to judge somebody you don't even know, LOL. The only romper room excitement comes from you who talks like the trash you are! When you don't have anything intelligent to say you resort to name-calling like a child. I figured it out, your a miserable person so you have to put others down to make yourself feel better. I really feel sorry for you. You know since I went to the principal's office to get help maybe you should hit the counseling office for some serious counseling, LMAO!
TM,
Just bc you SAID thats what happened doesn't mean I automaticly believe you. as a matter of fact I believe my sources much better than you.
lets see it is a fact you went to the refs after the loss to WC. That much you admit.
It is a fact you were escorted out of the stadium. You also admit that but cliamed you were leaving anyway? Nice twist.
Players on one end of the field and the refs on the other, just what where you doing that close to the officials.
reported to me from WC varsity coahs, DO fan goes to refs and gets the boot. reported to me by DO coach's the William uncle went after the refs.
reported to me by DO parents that one of our fans went on the field and got into it with the refs. WC parent and one of my very close friends whose son plays fro WC, DO fan was on the field jawing with the officials.
Fact fan who jawed was escorted out.You tell me TM? just believe your version. Non of these people know each other. Now come on TM.Just own up to it..
now no more romper room . Goodluck to your boy and the G/eagles..
Zebra mom...perfect! The thing that is real funny about everyone with so much to say about Lincoln is that IF we woud have lost to the teams that talk so much smack, there would be nothing being said...it is just jealously!! And when I read these current post and all the posts before the Whitney game and the Placer game..it was the Whitney fans and the Placer fans (even the Mayor) talking smack..didn't see much from the Lincoln side. Facts are facts and and the facts are that Lincoln is a great team this year! Whether it's just this year or if it is the beggining of great things, you would show a little maturity HATERS by not whinning! All it does is fuel our kids! By the way, I didn't see anyone talk about how Lincoln could have ran up the score on Bear RIver, but instead took a couple knees while being at the goal line. I was told by my son that at the Bear RIver and COlfax games the kids from the opposing teams and the Lincoln kids had great respect for each other and comletmented each other on great hits or great runs! Well enough said! GO ZEBRAS!! & All the teams that worked hard all year to make it to the playoffs!
You know what lonestar, that version is a lot more correct than the version you gave before. Before it was I cussed out the refs and was arrested and escorted off the field by the police. Now your telling me a different story so you must be the one wilth the lying problem. The part about leaving was correct. I told you what I said to the ref and was on my way out the gate and that's when the cops told myself and the other guy there that we had to leave. Well we were already leaving and out the gate so not sure how you say that's being escorted out? Escorted out by cops would be them holding my arm and walking to my car would you not agree??? So did you get the version this time or do you have to talk to your folks again??? By the way, it's funny your attacking somebody's character that is about as clean as a dang whistle and come to find out you have some skeletons in your closet.
TM,
I am not attacking your chachter, I am just responding to an incident that incolved you. At the time I heard of it, I was told it was a cheer dda???? You got on the Bee and claimed the incident. I had no CLUE at that point. It was like you were bragging???
All I can say is that if that many people noticed what went on, it wasn't as calm as you make it out to be.
Lasr point, tyou claim I attack you? I have commented on two subjects brought up by you. The first being the lack of positive talk of DO football early in the season and than the ref incident? I didn't invent either one T, go back and read what you blog and I think you will see I am correct.
If your gonna stand up on the stage and broadcast just be ready for the shots being fired. As for skeletons in a clost, everyone has them, I didn't dig any dirt up on you, You advertised it all yourself, I just asked the questions?
I am fine with you and most of this has just been chain yanking but it got a little out of hand at times. that happens.
like I siad best of luck to the G/Eagles and your boy...redeem yourselves in the off's...
Buckeye3:
Rocklin got a fantastic seed in the playoff bracket. There is really only Grant they have to beat for the section playoff game. The coaches of all these teams were on a conference call before the final seedings were announced, so I'm sure Rocklin's head coach agreed a potential game between Grant and Rocklin would be at a neutral site. As it turns out, Whitney is where the game would be played - would it still be worth 7 points for Grant?
St. Mary's, Del Oro, Granite Bay or Folsom all would have to beat two top teams to make it to the section final.
Can you imagine Coach Al agreeing to be third seed when they are in the top 20 in the nation in some polls? Coach Al said he didn't care where they were seeded - he just didn't want his team on a ripped up Rocklin field. Now that's wisdom.
Buckeye3: why would you complain when Rocklin got such a break? Why would the Rocklin athletic director lodge a complaint when his own coach agreed to the seedings in advance?
But hey, Atwater is waiting....
Maybe you can find something else Rocklin was "getting screwed big time" about instead.
Oh mojo, oh mojo, where art thou? You lost and we can't find you?
No Section title like Whitney has?
Will it be another 30 years before you win league again?
Oh mojo, oh mojo, where art thou?
