Larry Dubois steps down as Placer County Democratic Party chairman

Larry Dubois has resigned as Placer County Democratic Party chairman to devote more time to his business.

Dubois’ last meeting was Thursday, although he still had eight months to go before the end of his four-year term in June 2010.

“A good portion of my daily routine over the years has been dedicated to the Democratic Party of Placer County,” Dubois said. “However, like many other businesses during these tough times, the economy has hit us a bit and at this point in time, I made the decision to focus all of my energy on our audio-video production company located in Loomis.”

The interim chairwoman will by Kim Haswell of Auburn.
