Jon - our politics are quite different but we do agree that YS is the quintessential coward. This isn't the first time that he has called someone a liar or worse and when challenged to repeat the insult in person he suddenly becomes unavailable. Once, he even accepted the challenge to repeat an undeserved insult to a fellow blogger in person. The meet was scheduled for a specific time to take place across from Taco Tree in downtown Auburn. Of course he failed to show up and then made some feeble excuse about losing track of time. Whenever he really puts his foot in his mouth (as he has done many times on this forum) he typically disappears for a short period of time and then resurfaces with a new name.

I really don't mind being called negative political names and I am as guilty as others but names like "liar" are really personal and YS is less than a man or woman for making that unfounded comment and then running away. Perhaps we should make a list of acceptable insults and a list of unacceptable insults.

Here's a start.

Acceptable: Stupid liberal, Stupid Conservative, Ignorant war monger, Uneducated fool, tree hugger, right wing radical, etc.Ferengi is ok.

Unacceptable: Anything racist, Anything defiling anyone's religion that is personal i.e, "you are a dumb catholic, jew, muslim, etc. A personal attack that would be considered libel or slander in a court of law.

Anyone care to add to the lists?

Kittyv, Asking Fishdella who donates to the SARSAS and how they spend their money is not an insinuating remark. I don't follow CaynonRat, I just respond to her comments. And yes I did stand up and ask if Yosemite Sam was present. Most of the Central Committee members read these posts and understood what I was talking about.

Not using real names tends to allow folks to throw bombs and not be responsible for their personal comments about people. There would be less name calling and more respect if people used their real names and were willing to stand up personally for their opinions.

I don't see it Patrick, I'm sincere, I'm not sure what you meant by your comment that I was piling on, and that is honest. No one else even came close to what I'm saying here. The occasional "insult" or vehement disagreement is going to happen, it was when six or seven people all join in some kind of pack attack and do it consistently over a period of days that I took issue with.

On that note, Jon, you posted on a number of blogs and LTE's where he posted no matter what the subject matter with insinuating comments to Jack about SARSAS. You know perfectly well that Fedallah and Ishmael are Jack, and that hasn't put a filter on your comments, so it doesn't appear your theory is correct. If I had more time I'd waste it pulling them up, as well as the ones you were doing to CanyonRat, but I am already late, and it seems pointless.

I'm considering discontinuing any comments to people who use their real name. That will solve the problem of hurt feelings and sensitive egos. I see NO evidence of more respect from people who use their real names, with of course exceptions, and those people should already know who they are without my having to list them, so I won't. I do respect you because of what you have done for youth in this area, but I didn't care for the whole SARSAS thing and you brought this up, so....
