Giving thanks for local media outlets
Reader Input
The Auburn Journal, KAHI and the Sentinel … I must say to the folks of the friendly foothills that we are very fortunate to have them serving this community. They are truly invaluable for all aspects of news reporting. The very local area paper, The Auburn Journal, is doing a true job keeping the folks informed … from fire catastrophe, farm festivals, public fund raising, local theater news, sports, political summaries, religious news to violent crimes, serious dog attacks and well written, informative editorials. KAHI goes back to the programming of years ago. The broadcast of area news, serious events like the 49 Fire, play-by-play sports events, live theatre, Auburn Fair, plus many other events. The Sentinel, as well, with well written feature stories. Thanks Auburn Journal, KAHI radio and the Auburn Sentinel for being here in print and voice. Thanks to their managements and the hard working staffs. HANK GONZALES, Auburn

Hank,
Are you related to loycer in some way?
Rolandmc, I don't get it. Since when is it not okay to give someone a kudos message if you like what they are doing for the community?
Lots of LTEs are written to thank someone for something they did. What's with the personal slam?
Keeping,
Why are you assuming my question is a personal slam? Do you have something against loycer? I was struck by what seemed to me to be a similarity in their points of view. I find it interesting that you would take my question and read so much into it. I didn't say anything about whether I agreed with or disagreed with the point of view being expressed did I? I asked a simple question. I don't know why you would ask me the questions you did and I won't make any assumptions as to why. I am curious however.
Rolandmc, I love it when people answer questions with questions. Makes you have think more.
I have nothing against loycer. In fact, I've been out there defending her right to post what she wants against the "self-appointed blogger content police". Same with this LTE.
I guess I was wrong when I took your question as a sarcastic slam against loycer's posts and those like them. If so, I'm sorry and I appreciate the rope you gave me to hang myself with...... :)
kud, no one has the "right" to disobey the terms, rules and conditions set by the AJ.
Chuxxr, there you go again. Self-appointed blogger content police. I think the AJ has their own webmaster and content manager. Let us know if you've received the job, okay.
If she (or anyone else) goes outside the "terms, rules and conditions", then the AJ will take care of it. I don't think anyone thought half as much of the content of her posts, as the quantity of them. You, however, were the exception and saw it as a blight on the AJ and deemed it your mission to tell her again and again. As why you didn't just report the blogs silently if they offended you so, instead of just yammering on and on about the rules, I'm still puzzled.
Rolandmc..... now you see who has something against loycer.
What's funny is I've never even met the woman, but maybe that's it. Maybe Chuxxr has and it's personal.
KUD, I was on Loycer's side and tried to explain over and over again to her that she was being rude and was in danger of being censored. All she did was make light of her actions and like a child she saw how far she could push it before it came down on her. I give all advertisers the same warning. Most of them understand. Some even pay for their advertising space.
WOW...and the gloves come off.
Keeping, I understand why people get sensitive when people try to control others behaviors. That's why I questioned you. I work hard at making sure I take responsibility for the way I right things so that if I am taken to task, I can either say, those are my beliefs or I didn't say that. My question this morning is a good example of that. It was a simple question without any other meaning. I do understand how many things can be read into it. I try not to read into others and like when people don't read into mine.
Well, will you get a load of all this crap.
Mr. Gonzales has done more for this town over the last several decades than all the whiny posters here combined.
