Manager reports American flag stolen from pole

A mobile home park manager lost a second American flag he saved up for after another was recently stolen.

On Oct. 30, the manager of Woodside Village mobile home park, located on the 12000 block of Luther Road in Auburn, reported that between 3 p.m. Oct. 29 and 8 a.m. Oct. 30, someone stole a California state flag and an American flag flying at full staff from a pole in front of the park’s office.

The manager reportedly told Placer Sheriff’s deputies that he had just spent about $215 to replace the two flags that were stolen last year.

This is terribly unfortunate because those flags should be at half staff for the people killed at Ft. Hood recently. Maybe put a lock at the bottom so that people cant steal them? Its a sad day though when people have to lock up the flags of this great state and country so that they do not get stolen.

JJMon, we are in total agreement.

JAMMIN, i fully agree...so sad.

Wow! I do not understand why someone would even do that.
