OFF THE FIELD WITH: Michael Lohrke
By Ray Hacke, Journal Sports Writer
Michael Lohrke

School: Bear River

Year: Senior

Sports: Football and boys soccer

Positions: Placekicker (football) and goalkeeper (boys soccer)

1. You play both soccer and football. How difficult is it to balance playing two varsity sports?

It is a little difficult. Soccer is my first priority, though. I have to communicate with both coaches frequently about practices and games. Sometimes the games are on the same days and I have to miss a football game, or they might be at different times and I can make both.

2. What is your favorite subject in school and why?

I like psychology the best because it’s interesting to learn about human behavior. Also, the teacher, Mr. Korell, is a lot of fun.

3. What is your favorite pregame meal?

The football dinners are my favorite because the food is great and there’s a lot to eat. There is chicken, macaroni and cheese, taco salad, fruit, vegetables, and desert.

4. Who is your personal hero?

The entire New York City Fire Department.

5. If you could take any celebrity to the prom, who would it be and why?

Megan Fox. Why not???
