Way to go you two!! Congrats and God Bless your marriage.

Bob

Very, very cool.

It's a fine institution to commit yourselves too!

Congrats to the both of you.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!

Congratulations and best wishes.

You deserve each other.... and I mean that in a sincere and nice way! :)

Dangit, Greg... now you've given her real name away! Ok, ok... (sigh) it's Observer Bricker. ;)

Seriously, thanks guys. We aren't actually married until tomorrow... Samhain/All Saints Day. I (we) appreciate your support.

I actually knew we were going to get married a while ago. There's no one else I can imagine spending the rest of my life with.

... except maybe a cardboard cut-out of Kathy Ireland. (shh... don't tell Observer)

(Lois Griffin's voine).......Geez Peter!

Seriously...I was ready to spend the rest of my life alone and content. I have said many times in the past that it would take an act of God for me to go down this path, but then, along came Birch :-) I am truely marrying my soul mate, for better or worse, and have never had this kind of peace... so thank you God, thank you Jesus and thank you Mary...

It means so much to both of us to have the blessings and well wishes from all you guys because all of you are part of our wonderful life :-)

(Lois Griffin's voine).......woops - should have read voice

Congratulations! Many blessings to both of you.

Birch/Observer: Congratulations and may your lives together be blessed with: Love, Happiness and good health.

Congratulations!

Congratulations, Birch, to you and your new wife. I wish you all of the blessings life can give you. My heartfelt congratulations to you.

congrats to the both of you. you teach us all a lesson every day, looking for the good in the people in our community and looking for the good in the world.

Congratulations to you two & many happy years!

what wonderful news! May the Lord bless you and keep you.

I thought I picked up on something...way to go you two...outstanding. My wife and I have been together 35 years and it was the best thing that ever happened to me...the force will feel the power of your blessed union.

Congratulations Birch and Observer! May the love and laughter you already share grow deeper and louder with each passing year!

Congrats you guys from all of us here in the Begin family. :-)

Birch, Observer,

I know I jumped the gun a bit by posting on Friday evening, but it was news worth sharing in advance of the actual event. Now you can go to the sweat lodge with knowledge that your pals here at AJBloggesphere are behind your behind.

You said, "There's no one else I can imagine spending the rest of my life with". Actually, it would be more correct if you had said, "There's no one else who would put up with me besides my dear Observer"! What a gal!!

Seriously, Birch, L.O., you two are an inspiration to many of us because you both live your lives as an open book. The words you share with us each day are tempered with love of community and concern for people, some you barely know. That's a rare occurrence these days. ;-)

Enjoy the event.

Greg - Thank you for jumping the gun. :-) We take all of you with us, in Spirit, tomorrow. All Souls Day (Samhain) is, for us, the most perfect day to be married. With us will be, all souls, many of them departed, temporarily from us, but there, no less...

...oh, and thank you St Joseph. You are so often forgotten, yet so important in the role of husbands and fathers everywhere...

Obewan - It is definitely the work of the "Force" :-)

May these vows and this marriage be blessed.

May it be sweet milk,

this marriage, like wine and halvah.

May this marriage offer fruit and shade,

like the date palm.

May this marriage be full of laughter,

your every day as a day in paradise.

May this marriage be a sign of compassion,

a seal of happiness here and hereafter.

May this marriage have a fair face and a good name,

an omen as welcome as the moon in a clear blue sky.

I am out of words to describe

how spirit mingles in this marriage.

(Jal?l ad-D?n Mu?ammad R?m?)

Skeptic - Thank you for the beautiful words of your poem...

Correction - Whoops! Tomorrow (Nov 1) is All Saints Day. Today (Halloween) is All Souls Day! It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and gets its name from being the eve (e'en) of the Western Christian holy day of All Saints (the Eastern Orthodox celebrate All Saints Day in June). The dressing up comes from the Celtic belief that the scary masks and costumes would ward off the evil spirits prior to the coming of the new year. So...to all of you out there warding off evil spirits, eating candy and celebrating the end of summer and the beginning of harvest, have a safe and Happy Halloween!!

Congratulations! I think you picked a fine day and season to get married :D

Here's wishing you a long and wonderful union, filled with spontaneity and happiness, I enjoy reading posts from both of you.

Today they are One.

The jubilant couple shared the ritual that signaled their spiritual unification as One, in a solemn but beautiful ceremony. A feast of Ethiopian delicacies and a leisurely stroll through the sook followed. The Elder Witness was pleased, and God's Fool agreed that it was good.

The Sun of God blessed the proceedings with an unexpected personal appearance. The gods were last seen wearing broad smiles.

"All praise be yours, my Lord, through all that you have made. And first my Lord, Brother Sun, who brings the Day and the Light you give to us through him. How beautiful is he; how radiant in all his splendor." (St. Francis: "Hymn to the Sun")

"A leisurely stroll through the souk." I couldn't have put it better myself. :)

Yea, tidings of great joy were had by the Bridegroom and Bride... not to mention the the Matriarch of the Bricker Clan and their dear companion, Khalilullah.

"O Thou loving Provider! These souls have hearkened to the summons of the Kingdom, and have gazed upon the glory of the Sun of Truth. They have risen upward to the refreshing skies of love; they are enamored of Thy nature, and they worship Thy beauty. Unto Thee have they turned themselves, speaking together of Thee, seeking out Thy dwelling, and thirsting for the waterbrooks of Thy heavenly realm.

Thou art the Giver, the Bestower, the Ever-Loving."

~ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
