Is the government killing people to make the story believable? Or did the government spread the virus? I can't really get to the heart of Marcia's concerns. Unless it'd because I'm BWS (blogging while sleepy). But really, what with the wars, social issues and all the other real worries they have, when is the government supposed to have the time and energy to kill off their own citizens? .....for tax money.

I really never gave Darwin's theory much credit until I read Marcia's letter. Evolution must have started with the feet and worked its way up.

The letter writer is not saying that "the government" started the H1N1 flu virus, nor is the letter wrtier stating that the government is propogating the virus. The letter writer is clearly making the obvious point that the "Flu Pandemic" is a creation of the current administration to scare people into the proposed health care bill, and to bolster it's approval rating as the "concerned administration".

My concern is that the vaccines are being pushed out as fast as they can with virtualy no quality control. The majority of H1N1 Swine Flu cases do not result in death, so the government has created much ado about nothing. I havent done the research, but I would be curious to know the actual statistics in other types of flu deaths versus the H1N1 Swine Flu Virus. I would fare to imagine that there are more cases of the Herpes Virus contracted in one day than H1N1, but where is the current administrations hype about that? I would bet there are more AIDS deaths in a day but are they scaring everybody about that?

So you folks that want to go get the shot and put all types of potentially lethal chemicals in your body be my guest. After all an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure... but when the prevention could kill you as easily as the illness have you done any good for yourself?

How many people died of the regular flu last year?

I have never taken any flu shots and don't plan to. My understanding is that the immunity you get from a flu shot only lasts a few years. Whereas contracting the virus and letting your body fight it off builds immunity for a lifetime.

I have friends whose kids had H1N1 last week and she said it was the worst her kids have ever felt but are now on the mend.

Is it the government or the media hyping this? Where is the problem? Are there daily H1N1 White House press releases or something I'm missing? All I hear is chicken little stuff coming from LTE's like this.

I love how people think that some people must be or are just crazy. Time lines of events leading up to many of the circumstances like 9-11 and this H1N1 pandemic are documented as fact and these facts are available for all to see....if you actually take the time research them. Money and the end goals of many proposed plans are usually hidden inside secret agendas...sometimes the goals are reached and sometimes their not....and that does not change the intent or secrecy of the original agendas. For some people to sit back and calmly say to those around them that everything is OK... would be like the same group looking at an approaching tornado and then not finding shelter as they are swept away. Our debt is increasing and bankruptcy is near, many industries are now owned by the government, our dollar value is dropping and many monopolies control many sectors inside our country, long wars are raging on for no apparent reason and your inflation costs are and or will go thru the roof in the near future...yet some say no agendas exist and........ everything is OK? Do the research and think twice as you follow the money and how it flows to those...that you do not know. There is a storm approaching......

What evidence is there that the government created H1N1?

JP...I will not reveal all my hours of research on any of the topics discussed here...time lines are very important and I will give you hints...

1. Public broadcast commercials about upcoming pandemic many years ago....preparing the population for the coming agenda..

2. The digging up of bodies with 1918 spanish flu many years ago and subsequent testing extraction and research around these events..

3. Many published articles by those scientists that know this virus has never existed in nature...80+ micro-biologists have died..

4. There was only one foreign country that had a footprint in the outbreak city...and security detail usually arrives thirty days in advance...

5. New pandemic laws increasing governmental powers at all levels.....over general population.

6. Political donations to whom from who and which companies and why...always follow the money.....no matter where it flows.

Do you really think anyone would be able to prove anything? I never said the Obama administration did anything....there are a great deal more people involved with running this government than one man. If you throw stones on the ground and they are red and then someone says.. no they are really white stones...what will you believe.. your own eyes or the person saying they are white stones? When you follow events one must not look at just one event... but the entire series of events and then the timelines associated with any outcomes desired or achieved. Microbiology has come a long way in a very short time and so have the discoveries and then of course so have the patents...I wonder when those two terms were first coined and then used in our epidemiology medical literature and I hope you got your flu shot. The link you provided is more of a rant than evidence. Dr. Horowitz's argument relies that the 2009 H1N1 pandemic time line (I have no time to check it) is both correct and a 100% accurate description of the initial flu spread (2 isolated groups simultaneous in Mexico and LA.).

This argument is saying : The time line doesn't add up, so the government must have engineered the virus.

I propose : The time line doesn't add up, so maybe there were unrecorded or sub clinical cases before the first recorded H1N1 patient.

Yeah, I am lost. I have no idea what Obewan is talking about with his red stone and white stones... do you?

The figures I heard through AP was that the average mortality for seasonal flu is about 35,000 people nationwide.

However, H1N1 has a mortality rate of about one-half of one percent. We've lost about 1,000 plus people to it so far. The virus isn't respecting the normal "flu season" and that means we could begin to see it through more of the year. Unfortunately, those who die from H1N1 are young children, pregnant women, those with underlying health issues, compromised immune systems and the elderly. (All information in the above paragraph is a synopsis of information from a first-responder web list.)

The danger is that flu virus mutates rapidly and frequently. There were studies made by CDC of the 1910 and 1918 style flu virus. You have to know an enemy to better fight it, and the 1910 and 1918 influenza virus wiped out many millions of people.

However, don't go all conspiracy theory on me here. The isolation of virus in "hot rooms" in CDC is total. And CDC has been been working with the most virulent bugs known to humankind. Without ANY escaping. CDC does a damn fine job. One they don't get enough credit for and one I sure wouldn't want to tackle!

But H1N1 isn't any kind of conspiracy by drug companies or gov't. It's not "unproven or untested" technology. We've been making vaccines for many decades and know how to do it safely.

Don't go alarmist, panic or crawl in a hole. Just decide for yourself with the best information you can get. One or both vaccines. Or not.
