The League of Women Voters of Placer County received an award this year bestowed by LWV of California.

The Placer County League was chosen over other counties in California in recognition of their extraordinarily successful first year of Voter Service.

LWV of Placer County made 15 ballot measure presentations, held four candidate forums, performed multiple voter registration activities and staffed several polling places in Placer County last year.

LWV of California presents awards to deserving counties in the state bi-annually.

The LWV works to encourage informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy. It never supports a candidate or political party.
