Law enforcement officers were among those honored at the second annual Salvation Army Celebration Breakfast Wednesday. Shown from left are Salvation Army Capt. Ralph Jiminez, CHP officer Kelly Baraga, Placer County Sheriff Capt. David Keys, Auburn Police Department Capt. John Ruffcorn and Salvation Army Capt. Dianne Jiminez. The officers were honored for their departments’ participation in The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle program “Battle of the Badges.” At three locations in Auburn these groups raised more than $8,000 for the Salvation Army. Over 130 people came to the breakfast to be honored and to honor the volunteers who helped the mission of The Army to serve the public and especially the 49 fire survivors.
