Alfred and Mary Burton celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2009 at their home in Newcastle.

Their children, Alice, Jennifer, Clayton and Patricia hosted the garden party.

The couple has eight grandchildren and also has 10 great-grandchildren.

He is retired and was employed as school maintenance supervisor for Calistoga School District.

She is a retired gardener.

Family friend Mary Joyce of Roseville made the special 65th anniversary cake.
