Desiree Michelle Benoit of Auburn and Leon Aiken Wauters of Auburn were married Sept. 5, 2009 at Headquarter House in Auburn by Pastor Dwayne Starling.

The bride graduated from Placer High School in 2004, and has also graduated from Sierra College and Frederico’s Beauty School. She is employed by The Artistic Salon in Auburn.

Her parents are Dianna and Michael Porter of Auburn and Douglas and Laura Benoit of Anaheim.

The groom also graduated from Placer High School in 2004 and is attending California State University, Sacramento.

He is employed by Filter Fresh Coffee Co.

His parents are Barbara Wauters and William Wauters of Clipper Gap.

The bride’s honor attendant was her sister, Dana Burke of San Francisco.

Bridesmaids were Vivian Wauters and Olivia Hardt.

The best man was A.J. Davenport of Auburn.

Groomsmen-ushers were Steven Knapp of San Francisco and Charlie Fralick of San Luis Obispo.

The flower girl was Jaylee Benoit of Portland Ore.

A reception was held following the ceremony at the Headquarter House.

The couple honeymooned at Lake Tahoe.

They now live in Rocklin.
