Starting at Try Outs for the Kickin Chickens this year, the coaching staff knew that there was an opportunity to improve drastically as a team. Since that time the 49er U14 Girls team has won 2 out of 3 tournaments they have entered and are a perfect 4 wins and 0 losses on the regular season.

That is a good indication as to why the Kickin Chickens will be moving up to the "A" bracket for U14 girls. "Besides winning a tournament, this was the next big team goal that we wanted to accomplish," said Head Coach Russ Klug. "I really hope the girls continue on the path we are headed becaause we are still headed up."

This weekend the Kickin Chickens will play against the Davis Legends, the only opponent they have not faced in their current "B" division. "We have a great group of girls, and we need to keep them focused. They have yet to reach their team potential and we still have a tendency to play to the level of the team we are facing.....but we are very solid all the way around," said Asst Coach Bruce Mitchell.
