Donald Dill and Carol (Warren) Dill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 on Orcas Island, Wash. with family friends and their standard poodle, Cody.

Since retiring to Auburn in 2001, Don has been active in SIRS and works at Black Oak Golf Course.

Carol is an active gardener and works as an elections officer.

The couple’s children are Doranne and husband Stephen Hardt of Saratoga and Jennifer Dill of Portland, Ore.

The couple has two grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew Hardt.
