Olmstead Loop Trail... Oh, and a stealth bomber...
Hiking the Olmstead loop trail this last weekend was quite a treat. The rain and clouds made for some great photo oportunities. While looking towards 49 sizing up a shot of the clouds and a ranch house, I saw what I thought was a hang glider but moving rather oddly for a glider. A closer look; it was a stealth bomber. (No doubt a fly over while doing an air show somewhere.) First time I've seen one. (If you look at the picture with the blue house in it, you can see a spec to the upper left of the tree in the middle of the frame. This was the aircraft. As it appraoched, I zoomed in to get the picture. Still pretty far off for much detail though.) As for Olmstead trail, this is a great trail for bikes, horses, and hikling. With the weather cooling off, it's a great time to get out on any of the trails as well.

Canyon hiker, once again thank you for some great pictures. The Bomber was part of the Air Sow at Mather. Our fantastic weather, for those of us that like clouds and rain, probably put a damper on the show since the ceiling was rather low.
CH,
Laurie and I took the stroll down to Hidden Falls yesterday morning. We walk quite often in the morning, and normally we're up and out the door around 5:30A due to the heat of summer. Yesterday we took a bit longer getting out of the house due to the cool temps.
Great pix! I love walking under cloud cover.
Great pictures. I have ridden that trail many times. You have captured its beauty.
Great pics, been on this trail numerous times. I saw the Stealth from my house in Newcastle...awesome probably once in a lifetime shot!
