People Who Wear Blinders Need to Wake Up!!

I have just one thing to say about all this Attention that is being given to the nudist community that uses a certain part of the American River. Get over it folks! That part of the river has been used by this particular group of people for MORE THAN 30 YEARS. I was born and raised in this town. I've known about that beach my ENTIRE LIFE. It's not new to those of us who have lived here most or all of our lives. In fact this beach is quite famous among nudists. This region of the river just happens to be VERY Hard to get too, Its not easily viewed from ANY other area of the river and until recently it wasn't a problem. My solution to this problem , go rafting on another section of the river and leave the people who come to our area just for that beach alone.

Our gas stations appreciate their business so does the hospitality industry, all of our service industry depends on the money that's brought in by tourism. These folks are tourists. If you dont want to see them in their "God-given" state then stay away from that area.

There are miles and miles of river here. Why can't we all SHARE the beauty of the region. Why should "WE" have to stop using an area of the river that has been used for this purpose longer than most Auburn residents have been here. If you don't like it move. The nudist communitee won't be moving to another area of the river this is the most private spot and like I said it's been there for more than 30 years. Our answer to the problem, don't look and go to another section of the river. Or you all can put your blinders back on.

Right on!

The general public accepts that every other minority interest has a right to their share of the public lands: off-road vehicles, golf courses, or whatever. What about themany taxpaying citizens who like to get sun on their entire bodies?

Please, live and let live! As long as lewd behaviour (this is a difficult expression, I admit) is not going on, let us enjoy nature and the outdoors, just as you are. This is just a short stretch of the river that we all enjoy. Let us enjoy laying in the sun, swimming in the rapids, the total freedom from citizen watchdogs who want to control our lives. We are all on this planet, with many different ideas on how to enjoy it, please don't pressure, strong-arm, us into what you believe is the proper way to live our lives. We are not doing that to you. Let us enjoy this small stretch of river, as we have for many years, in what we feel is the god-given right to be within nature and one with it. Thank you, and Peace!
