Seniors don red for good cause

Residents and staff at Oakwood Village senior living community in Auburn wore red Friday in honor of National Wear Red Day and the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. The day was established to challenge the perception that heart disease is a “man’s disease” through public awareness and education. Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women, according to the American Heart Association.
