We made it! We left Granite Bay at 8:30 a.m. and made it to Pasadena with only one stop.

Although a bit tired after the drive we were revived after arriving at the "barn" where Roseville's float is under construction.

The atmosphere is not at all what I expected. I had imagined there to be lots of room in between floats but in actuality it is a tight squeeze as all the floats are so massive and there are ladders and equipment everywhere.

I met several Roseville residents who have made float decorating a family affair, which is exactly what I've done as my husband and daughter have joined me for all the festivities.
